For more than twenty years I've helped build driving simulators — the realistic virtual environments companies use to test vehicles safely, long before anything reaches a real road. My work has helped research teams at companies like Google and Intel study how cars and drivers behave, and measure it precisely.
I build the software that makes those virtual worlds run smoothly and reliably, and the tools that capture and make sense of everything happening inside them. Much of it is the behind-the-scenes engineering that an entire product quietly depends on.
Now I'm focused on where this is heading: combining that deep simulation experience with today's AI to help prove that self-driving and other autonomous systems are safe — at the scale the industry needs. That's the work I'm looking to do next.
